Many people like the hand held remote operation in which a Somfy RTS motor would be used for most applications. RTS is short for “Radio Technology Somfy”, and this is a wireless home automation control system by which radio waves are transmitted from a remote control or wall switch to operate your motorized window shades. With RTS, the technology is compatible with all Somfy applications and allows for individual or group operation of window coverings.

HARDWIRE MOTORIZATION
Hardwire motorization is needed on natural woven shades that are larger or that are lined, causing them to be heavier in weight. A plug must be at the location that the motorized woven wood shade will be installed for its power source.
